Following a public meeting, in which several of their members discussed experiences of police harassment, local anti-racist group Tyneside Community Action against Racism (TCAR) have called a demonstration on Saturday 3rd September against police racism and violence. This protest comes at a time when it is essential to be opposing the increasing tide of racist and brutal actions by the police across the country, as demonstrated by the recent murder of Mark Duggan by a police officer in Tottenham.
The HSBC 3 Defence Campaign works with and supports TCAR, and many supporters of the campaign will be at the demonstration. We will have a speaker, exposing the role of the police, explaining that we stand in solidarity with all those facing state repression, and that it is essential for political defence campaigns to be organising in defence of our democratic rights.
Join us on the demo, saying END POLITICAL POLICING!
Protest against Police Racism and Violence: Saturday 3rd September, 12pm, Grey’s Monument, Newcastle.

Thanks for the update on what’s happening. I try to take an inpartial view, but it’s definately an exciting thing to read about
“TCAR call protest against Police Racism and
Violence – Sat 3rd September | HSBC 3 Defence Campaign” was
a wonderful post. In case it owned even more images this would certainly be even better.
